Books

So tonight when we were getting Daxton ready for bed we decided to let him pick a book for us to read to him. I sat him down in the middle of the room and he toddled over to pick a book. He lifted the book up over his shoulder and handed Dr. Suess' ABC book to Doug. Doug read him the book and then stood him up to have him put the book back. After he put it back, he grabbed the book Put Me in the Zoo and handed it to me. I read it to him and then the process repeated itself. He would always alternate between the two of us. It was really cute. After a couple stories we started getting him in his pajamas. He was crying until we gave him a book to read. He loves to read!!

In other Daxton news he also likes to help me with the laundry. I will get the laundry out of the washer and set it on the open door of the dryer and then Daxton will push it in. He always looks up and grins when all the clothes have made it into the dryer. When they are all in he helps me close the door and then push the button to start the dryer. He is such a good helper.

Daxton has also taken to clapping his hands when I say YAY. He also does all of pat-a-cake including throw it in the oven. He loves to say the word yeah (at least that is what it sounds like) when we ask him a question. He is so much fun and is learning things so fast. I love to watch him and am so glad that I can stay home and see all these fun things.
