Coloring and Spinning Eggs

It's time to color eggs! We dug through some of the dying kits I got last year on the after Easter sales and decided to try the Marble Swirls and just some plain colors. Daxton was just excited that he got to hold the box!
Here is the set up! Doug got the dyes in the cups and I worked on getting the swirly eggs going. Daxton just loved being a part of it. He was loving holding (and almost dropping) the eggs. He was always so excited when we pulled the eggs out of the colors.
Here we are doing a swirly egg. You just put the dye on the egg while it is in your hand and then smear it around. Daxton was such a good helper and his fingers were green for a few hours after. Doug also "helped" Daxton write his name on an egg, which was then dyed blue.
The finished product.
After the eggs were good and dry, we had our own little version of the Corry "Eggstravagansa." Needless to say Doug won that competition handily. However, he did smash one egg into the wall which was pretty funny. Daxton loved to watch Doug spin the eggs. He would make his "OH" face, squeal, and squat down to see the eggs up close. He was entertained for a long time just watching the eggs spin around the floor. We had such a fun time!

Here is a good example of the "OH" face.
