Our Third Anniversary!

We celebrated our third anniversary on March 25th. It was your typical Tuesday until Doug called me at about three o'clock and asked if I would come and pick him up. So Daxton and I got in the car and went down to meet Doug. We decided that we would give each other our presents and then go to the Olive Garden for dinner! Poor Daxton was the little third wheel, but we were sure glad that he tagged along. My present from Doug were tickets to the Indians vs. Yankees baseball game! We had been debating about this for quite some time and I am so glad that he decided that we could go. The reason for the debate was because he has finals the next week. So in addition to the tickets, he gave me a schedule that we were to follow (I always get after him about not being very prepared). It was a great present and we are looking forward to cheering really loud on April 26th. It is also the FOX Saturday baseball game of the week so look for us! Ha ha.
Doug's present was more "homemade." Since we are always looking for things to do and celebrate here in Ohio I made a calendar with fun and unique holidays to celebrate. I tried to do two or three each week. Hopefully this will add some spice to the weeks ahead!
Our dinner at the Olive Garden was so good. I got some five cheese marinara pasta dish (which I really liked) and Doug got a chicken/spinach/noodle thing, that was also really good. Lucky Daxton got both. He totally loved the breadsticks as well. He was really enjoying the coloring book and crayons, which was a little surprising because he doesn't usually color for more than a few minutes at a time. Daxton was so funny towards the end of the dinner. He was playing with a straw and Doug leaned over the table with his straw and told Daxton they were going to have a sword fight. To our surprise, Daxton loved this and was hitting Doug's straw and laughing.
We were going to take a picture outside but it was, of course, freezing out there so we settled for a picture in the lobby. After the Olive Garden we went to Giant Eagle and each picked out our favorite Ben and Jerry's (I got Birthday Cake and Doug got Cream Cheese Brownie). We decided to try a Red Box movie and ended up renting No Reservations. Thanks to my visiting teachers, I had a code that allowed us to get this movie for free! We had such a fun time and can hardly believe that it has already been three years!

Doug: Good choice on the Yankees-Indians tickets. I think for our next anniversary I will get Becca Jazz tickets, or maybe an Avalanche game. Thanks for the idea!
